MSM, or methylsulfonylmethane, is also known as DMSO (it is the oxidized form of this substance), dimethylsulfone, and crystalline dimethylsulfoxide. It is a naturally occurring chemical found in most plants and some animal tissue. MSM has been used as a nutritional supplement in animal feed.
