Movement Therapy

I was watching the video about movement therapy for stroke patients on this page and was wondering about the specific types of movement patterns that are beneficial for stroke victims. Are there alternative medicine movement patterns or something?

RE: Movement Therapy

I'm a student of occupational therapy and I know there are many rehabilitative theories about movement and recovering from a cerebral vascular accident. One theory of movement is PNF which stands for Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation. This works on the part of the brain that affects the perception of the body. There are diagonal movements that cross midline of the body to get both halves of the brain working together. This is a wide area of study, as there are many theories about movement and CVA.
