IV Vitamin Therapy
Study tests IV Vitamin C against cancer

A group of oncologists and alternative medicine practitioners are investigating the use of IV Vitamin C to treat cancer. Their report was published in the Journal of Translational Medicine.
The research is investigating whether IV Vitamin C can help treat the inflammation often associated with cancer and counteract wasting (cachexia). They speculate that IV Vitamin C may become a common tool in oncology treatment.
The use of IV Vitamin C is controversial, with some alternative medicine practitioners claiming it has extended the lives of cancer patients and conventional physicians saying Vitamin C has not been proven useful in treating cancer. This paper, which describes research at Riordan Clinic in Witchita, Kansas, establishes that IV Vitamin C may be able to selectively kill tumor cells. Previous studies used oral Vitamin C.
