Condition - Ringing Noise in the Ears

Sara_White responded to Discussion - What is ear-worm?

No. Ear worm is what they are calling it when you get a song, phrase, or word stuck in your head. In clinical psychology, they call this a reverberating circuit, because it is like en electronic impulse that is getting bounced around in the brain in a pattern that is stuck. That is why you can think of a song before you go to bed and wake up with it still in the mind. Ringing noise in the ears is also known as tinnitus and is a symptom of many medications. MORE...

Condition - Morgellons

Sara_White responded to Discussion - Is Morgellons psychological?

To the people who have morgellons, it is very real. It is hard to say if there is a psychological component, but research has shown that there is a level of stress and ill mental health that often accompanies these reports. However, perhaps morgellons diseases is real AND affects the psyche, as in perhaps they did not have delusions until they were invaded by an infectious pest.
