Homeopathic medicine was developed in the early 1800s by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician and pharmacist. This form of holistic medicine is used to treat the person's whole state. Symptoms are often considered positive and are not suppressed. Homeopathic medicine is based on the principle of treating like with like (the principle of similar).
