Eczema

Symptoms of eczema include red, itchy skin and blisters, which may be mild to severe. Eczema is sometimes used interchangeably with the term "dermatitis," which means any skin inflammation. Eczema may be caused by contact with substances that irritate the skin, or by allergies or stress. It may help to exclude possible allergens from the diet to see if eczema symptoms improve.

  • Vitamin A -- reduces scaling
  • Vitamin B complex -- essential for healthy skin and cell growth
  • Vitamin C -- a natural antihistamine, useful for skin problems caused by allergy
  • Vitamin D -- crucial for skin health
