Is ear coning dangerous?

I have heard that some people can't use ear coning because it either makes their ear wax worse or burns them or something. Are there dangers about ear coning?

Ear coning does have a heat element, so safety is a concern. You will probably need a professional to perform the ear coning. Sometimes you can get ear candling or ear coning kits for DIY use. In this case, have a friend help you so you don't burn your ears. My dad once thought he needed some ear coning, but ultimately went to the hospital. They pulled a plug of ear wax out of his ear that was the size of a cigarette butt. If you think you have an ear wax problem, get some professional help.
