Autogenic training aims to reduce stress and restore emotional wellbeing. It is an easy-to-learn self-help method developed by Johannes Schultz in 1915 to promote relaxation. This procedure involves repeating a series of phrases in order to induce a meditative state of complete relaxation. Autogenic exercises should be carried out daily in a comfortable and quiet place.
