Arginine (sometimes called L-Arginine) is one of the 20 amino acids that form proteins in the human body. Our bodies are able to manufacture arginine (except in the case of pre-term infants, whose bodies have not yet developed the ability to manufacture all amino acids) although we cannot produce the total amount we need for all bodily functions.
